It's a special machine where they sandwich your quilt with the backing, batting, and then the top together on big rollers with a flat space between them where the machine (a sewing machine basically with with huge deep throat on it) can run over it and quilt it. An all over meandering stitch is pretty much just that -- it looks like big puzzle pieces kinda. It lets the piecing take precedence to the eye when you look at it. Fussy quilting (in the ditch, echo, etc.) call attention to the quilting and not so much the piecing. Hope that makes sense.

TeresaAunt Polly's Attichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00313763350966655583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8397296548303896556.post-52893071549453866762009-07-02T10:31:47.507-05:002009-07-02T10:31:47.507-05:00Dollgiver -- Will you e-mail me at scraps215@comca...Dollgiver -- Will you e-mail me at scraps215@comcast.net? Shane will be in security forces when done with basic. If I get him in a nearby state I will be thrilled!! Hate to think of what I will be like when he is deployed overseas. As moms we need to stick together.... Might need a blog just for that!!! My prayers are with you and your boys!!!
Debbie
Dollgivers AtticDollgiverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16398453123052796171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8397296548303896556.post-18143145604963975262009-06-29T18:18:31.858-05:002009-06-29T18:18:31.858-05:00My son has joined the Air Force and is on delayed ...My son has joined the Air Force and is on delayed enlistment at the moment. He's waiting to hear when he'll leave for boot camp -- probably late fall but who knows. We'll have to be there for each other. It's tough. My oldest son graduated from boot camp at Thanksgiving last year.
