We're off in the morning ...

... to San Antonio to see our youngest son graduate from Air Force Basic Training at Lackland AFB ... we haven't see our Quinn in two months now ... this old mom is ready for a hug!!!!  A BIG one!!!!  We'll get to see him (hopefully) on Thursday morning in the 2 mile Airman's Run.  We can't wait to just GET THERE.  Except there's an airplane ride ahead of us ... I don't fly well ... not at all ... just ask my poor hubby ...

I just finished uploading a few new pinkeeps and bowl fillers to the website ...

Aren't these sweet little buggers?  Reminds me of my childhood where we were outside every minute we could be ... winter could be soooooooooo fun!!!! 

I call this cupboard tuck Bless the Beasts ... I'm sure that's not the name of the original pattern ... which I can't find ...

And of course, I had to stitch a quick Stacy Nash while home over the holidays ... birds and flowers are my favorite pinkeep motifs ...

My empty nest ...

It's been a quiet couple of weeks since my youngest son, Quinn left for the Air Force ... my nest is empty and I'm not handling it well ... I don't like how empty my little house feels nowadays ... I had NO idea how icky this was going to feel ... how do you stop being a parent?  I mean, I know that I'm still a mom, but everything is different now ... believe me, I'm ROTTEN company right now ... so I stitch ... and stitch ... and stitch ... the UFO pile grows ever higher ... think I need a swift kick ...
