What can I say? I've been in such a funk ... maybe it's the gloomy weather day after day ... or maybe the changing of the seasons ... or that my oldest son left almost five weeks ago for boot camp in San Antonio, TX. He enlisted in the Air National Guard and will complete boot camp Thanksgiving weekend. He then goes to school until the end of March. I will never again take having my sons near for granted. I can't imagine the pain of parents with children in Iraq and other dangerous areas of the world. My heart truly goes out to them all.
Well, whatever "it" is, it's time to snap out of it. Somebody slap me!!
On a lighter note ... hubby and I have been learning a new craft ... soldered jewelry. I struggled and struggled with my soldering, cussing my way through each piece only to have my glass break from overheating and my solder was thin and overworked ... my husband watched me and kept encouraging me and one day asked if he could give it a try ... he picked up the soldering iron and was like a duck in water. So now he's Solder Boy (he loves the nickname even if he says he doesn't). I assemble the pieces and he solders them. And we've both really enjoyed the time spent together ...
Be watching for them on my website soon ...
